Goal

Gulf South Goldens is a not-for-profit organization that rescues abandoned Golden Retrievers and places them in loving homes. They needed a website to get the word out about their organization and to post pictures and information of each of their dogs up for adoption.

Summary

Gulf South Goldens approached me to ask if I would be willing to discount a portion of my services to their cause as most of their personnel are volunteers. After reviewing their organization, I felt it was a good cause indeed.

I designed a basic but functional layout at a discounted rate which would allow them to easily fill in their own contents. A gold-colored theme was used to tie-in to the color of the dogs, and thumbnail pictures of each dog up for adoption appears on every page. This way should someone see a dog that catches their eye while reading their Newsletter page, for example, they can click right away to find out the information about that dog and perhaps decide to give it a new home.
