Goal

All-Nu Upholstery had an old-fashioned website that had many broken links and a haphazard way of displaying pictures. They needed an updated design with a fresh look and an easy way to display their hundreds of photos of their custom work.

Summary

All-Nu gve me the go-ahead to come up with a design representative of upholstery with an emphasis on motorcycle seats. I had great artistic freedom as long as I came up with a way for visitors to easily see their custom work.

I designed a website that echoed a stitching and leather theme, using reds and grays as "tough colors" to appeal to motorcyle riders who are the most frequent customers of All-Nu. (I am also a motorcycle rider!)

The toughest job was getting their 500+ pictures into slideshows so the visitors no longer had to click on every single picture to see the large version then hit their back button and do it all over again. I chose XML slideshows which easily and rapidly display multiple galleries automatically while still allowing the visitor to control the show.

I added a scoller on the Home Page where they can bring attention to their latest specials and offerings. I also put in a rotator thumbnail show that allows quick viewing of a sample of their motorcycle seat work.

This is a very large website and many, many hours were spent on the photo work.
